Hi Lorna,
Could you please tell me what your credentials are as a nurse? Are you an RN or an LPN? Do you have a degree in nursing? I am doing a project for my masters degree on hospice and palliative care nursing,
Thank you, Jeanne

Hi Lorna,
I got your book, Yoga for a Grieving Heart, wonderful! I really like your suggestion of the old English prayer to use with the Sun Salutation...perfect! I have been trying to keep up daily with the Sun Salutation if nothing else...will make a greater effort now. Thank you!

Lorna,

Re: A Peaceful Death Kit. Yes, start contacting Hospice Care Centers. But, go through the Bereavement Department. There are over 3,000 Hospices in the US. This will keep you busy for awhile.

Hi, Sam~
I just came from an adult Sunday School class where the facilitator handed out samples of my beautiful death stories, & had class participants choose, & read & role play their favorite selection, with a backdrop of my pictures that illustrated each story. Adding in a moderator's discussion outline could encourage discussion of personal experiences. Our hope is to foster choices that will direct end of life care, avoid futility, & empower a peaceful GOOD DEATH plan. I could package it in 2 cd's, & a book, as a PEACEFUL DEATH KIT. Any suggestions?

Profile Information

About Me:
I have been a hospice nurse for 13 years. I consider myself a messenger: I have been privy to the most amazing events that have occured around the time of death. I think this is because I will tell people of these occurances in hopes that they will feel less fearful about the hereafter. Many people who read my stories tell me it brings them faith affirmation & comfort.

My Philosophy:
The best education about life is at the bedside of the dying. There, you see all the trivial elements of a life fall away, leaving nothing but love. Things like clothing, grooming, even food becomes unimportant. Love, only, prevails. The death process, also, leaves no doubt that we are spiritual beings, housed in a temporary physical body. Occasionally the dying are able to speak. When they can share what they are experiencing, it sheds amazing insight into our "homegoing."
I have suffered personal loss, which has enabled me to understand more fully the grief & recovery process. I have found that helping others with their bereavement has assisted my healing. practice.
Relationship Status:
Married
