Over the years, I have reflected on the needs of the dying and their family members. From working in a Cancer Center for two years to working with Hospice over fifteen years now, I have changed my approach to care a great deal. While doing the work of Hospice Care, it has somehow worked on me as well. I realize that service to others has developed my character and my soul.
I remember leaving Seminary thinking that I was going to “do” ministry. After practicing what I knew for a brief time, I re…

There are things unseen by worldly eyes
Yet their images are just as real
So I close my eyes and call your name
And in your presence I kneel
There are things unheard by worldly ears
Yet in solitude the silence is broken
So I go to that place that is not of the world
Where things left unsaid may be spoken
There are things that we feel untouched by the world
Yet their pleasure and pain is supreme
So I go to that place where forever you live
And I know you are more than a dream
What a wondrous g…

That 'thing' we mothers are ever watchful and careful to not give too much thought lest it notice us looking and sees us and knows where we live.....because it has come thru the door , past the hearth and into the safe space we make for our children.
Pehaps I looked too long and 'it' saw me and knew where I lived and who I loved. .......I dont know.
A friend we love dearly lost her child a year before and that was as close to 'home' I thought this would come , her pain was my pain as I had not…

When I was 10 years old, I played little league baseball with my best friend Chris. His dad coached our team. Those were good years. I remember my father coming to watch me play after work. Chris once told me that he was going to be a professional baseball player. When we were kids, we always said things like that. He pretended to be Ron Guidry, a star pitcher for the New York Yankees and I was Reggie Jackson, the Yankees' homerun hitter. Chris would pitch to me in my backyard and I would usuall…

A Reason to Be Thankful…..
Romans 1:18-23
In my opinion, the Christian life is signing on to a worldview that does NOT include the Good Ship Lollipop, but the Cross. It is dying to self and letting our Savior live in us and through us. It is choosing the life of an ambassador (2Cor 5:17-21) to a hostile world for a Savior who gave everything for us. When one realizes, truly realizes, what Christ did for us, and truly realizes the DEBT we owe Him, it is not acceptable to go acting as if what WE…

Faith through Trials
James 1: 1-4
Jesus’ brother wrote the book of James. He is speaking to his fellow Jews, male and female, his spiritual siblings, specifically to the twelve tribes of Israel that had been dispersed among the Greeks. What he is telling them flies in the face of what they thought the Messiah was to do when He came. They were expecting a conqueror that would restore Israel and crush its enemies. Instead, Jesus brought in a different kind of Kingdom. Not one of this world, but…

MY 10 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
I in my life am a Teacher (Mentor) to many and a servant to them at the same time!
1. WHY?
The reason “why” I teach the teachings of the knowledge and Understanding is so that others can find the Truth and to know the Truth about everything. That is a process to becoming really, really free! Compare John 8:32.
2. What does my family mean to me?
My family firstly, is my own wife and children. They are my own gene pool that was separated in Love and set apart from…

The days have been so warm, almost balmy this last week. It's incredible to think we're into fall already, and winter soon will be upon us.
I've been listening to various blog talk radio shows lately and they've got some really wonderful speakers and topics. Everything from spiritual awareness to book talk. I've been on several shows myself and it's usually a pretty easy format. I have a radio interview coming up tomorrow, Thursday, on Mental Health Radio with Jacqueline Foreman and we'll be ta…

Did you hear that loud crack
it was my breaking heart
Please bind me with hope
I’m falling apart
My screams are in silence
only heard deep inside
My soul wants to run
but there’s nowhere to hide
You took all that you could
with nothing returned
And what you didn’t need
you left barren and burned
Where will you go
when you leave me alone
For I am Mother Earth
and I once was your home
