About Me:
I am 44, the youngest of three children. My parents are still living...Dad 85 with alzheimer's, and Mom, 80 this year. My husband is a firefighter and we have 6 teenagers between the two of us I work at the Hospice Care Center in Ohio with Sam Oliver. I have been a paramedic for 16 years and suffered a back injury. I now work at the care center as a nurses aide and love every minute of it. God has called me to be there and just love his people. I like to ski, train horses, garden, and snorkel. I am a painter, photographer, and just took up playing the violin. I was recently diagnosed with fibromialgia and find the things I love to do very difficult at times.
My Philosophy:
Priorties: God is number one, my husband and family number two, everthing after that is whatever God leads me to do. It took most of my adult life to get my priorties in this order, but have found that life is so much easier if I keep my priorties in this order.

I am a firm believer that my joy is always found in the God I serve.

Forgiveness is the key to true happiness.

A positive attitude is everything. No matter how bad a situation is, there is always something good if you just look for God's blessings in it...it's always a choice.

God has called me to have compassion and love His people. To keep focused on Him in every aspect of my life. To continue to grow and learn from my mistakes. To forgive myself and others quickly. To enjoy my life for each moment my be the last.

Stress comes with every sunrise and can literally kill you if you let it. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I strive to do what I can and let God do the rest. Stress is nothing more than lack of faith and hope in a God who never lets me down.

A life without humor is a life without joy. Learn to laugh as hard as you cry...but laugh more!!!
Relationship Status:
married

Carry The Light

Have you ever noticed that when it is really dark at night, how many stars you can see? Most of the time we can’t see them because of the ambient light. That is how God is sometimes. Just because we can’t see him doesn’t mean He is not there. Our vision can be clouded by the distractions in our lives. I have been a paramedic for the last 12 years. One day, nine years ago, I was driving the ambulance and was involved in an accident. A woman, named Betty, 63 years old, pulled out in front of me… Continue

Hi Jeni,
I see you work at a care center. Do you work with the elderly? Could you give me some of your thoughts on end of life care for the elderly such as communicating with the dying and the family, pain control, and symptom management?
I am studing for my MSN and need to interview staff about their feelings and thoughts about end-of-life-care.
Thank you,
Jeanne

I am so glad you were able to read it! God is good and I know he has a plan I am just trying to stand in the midst of what I don't always understand. I would be more than happy to supply the books for you group. Just let me know how many.
Could you tell Twister the plan is coming together. I will of course counsel him in the area of gifts....

Love ya
Tonya
